Managing eLearning quality in the practice

and KeywordsAbstract. Both experience and research indicate that effective management of quality evaluation is a key elementfor the successful integration of eLearning in any educational setting. Also, they indicate that the main hurdle inmaking quality a daily concern for the people involved in eLearning is its sustainability: monitoring quality is anexpensive activity whose return is not always clear. This chapter introduces a basic framework concerning qualityin eLearning, and then proposes a lightweight method conceived for integrating quality measurements at different levels within the normal lifecycle of an eLearning project. The method is presented, discussed, andillustrated by a case study.
